Pair your devices

Devices on your network find each other by name automatically. Pick one, approve the request on the other side, and set a one-time password to seal the trust.

Chat privately

Send messages between your machines with delivery confirmations. History stays encrypted on each device, and offline messages arrive when the device comes back.

Drag any file into the conversation — large ones included. It lands on the other machine organized by sender, one click from opening.

No cloud. Ever.

Most "sync" tools quietly route your files through someone else's servers. ThruPlex doesn't. Your devices connect straight to each other over your network — or over your own VPN when you're apart.

True peer-to-peer

Your devices connect directly over your network. There are no relay servers and no cloud storage — your data never touches anyone else's computer.

End-to-end encrypted

Every message and file is protected with modern cryptography — X25519 key exchange and authenticated encryption, built on the trusted libsodium library.

Pairing you approve

New devices join only when you say so: you approve the request and set a one-time password on the receiving device. Wrong guesses get locked out.

Finds your devices instantly

Devices on the same network discover each other automatically and appear by name. On different networks? Connect by address — VPNs like Tailscale work great.

Chat that stays yours

A full conversation per device, with delivery acknowledgements. History is encrypted at rest, and messages sent while a device is offline arrive when it reconnects.

Send files right in the conversation — large files included. Incoming files are saved neatly per sender, one click away from opening.
